Here's Mo to symbolically close out the NFL season. - Christian Petersen
The end of football seasons means the dawn of the 2013 baseball season is just over the horizon. Huzzah!
Later today, the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers will play in Super Bowl XLVII. As a now-resident of the Charm City, I'll be hoping the Ravens pull it off. It won't break my heart if they lose though.
Feel free to comment on the big game, or on the exciting news that Spring Training is just around the corner. February tends to be a dark month for sports since the only members of the "Big Four American Sports" that are playing are basketball and hockey, but the end is in sight.
Pitchers and catchers report February 12th. The rest of the roster reports February 17th. Spring Training exhibitions begin on February 23rd with a day game against the Atlanta Braves/Super Upton Bros. Then, we'll have those types of games pretty much consistently as the Yankees organize their 25-man roster until Opening Day at Yankee Stadium on April 1st at 1:05 against the Boston Red Sox. That's less than two months away.
Get pumped. It's almost time for baseball. Until then, enjoy the Super Bowl , hockey, basketball, or whatever other odd sport strikes your fancy (lookin' at you, Ferenchick).
