"The Mick"
Uh-oh. Andrew learned how to make GIFs.
Welcome to a new feature that I will try to release as many mornings as I can, "Generational GIFs," just a GIF from New York Yankees history to start off your morning. It may or may not have to do with a particular anniversary on that particular day, but rest assured that early on, it will just be random GIFs from Yankees history. Since I can make GIFs now, I will also try to make another feature once games commence, "GIF(s) of the Game." Ideally, I will get them out shortly after the game ends. Hurrah.
The "Generational GIFs" series begins with my test GIF, Mickey Mantle's 500th homer, which came on May 4, 1967 against Stu Miller of the Baltimore Orioles. There aren't too many color videos of the truly original Yankee Stadium from before the renovations in 1974-75, and this GIF/video offers some of the clearest shots remaining. Enjoy. It's about all fans of the late-'60s teams COULD enjoy about the Yankees.
