Ichiro named AL Player of the Week
"Overall, the 10-time All-Star batted .600 (15-for-25) with three doubles, two home runs, five RBIs, seven runs scored and six stolen bases. He led the Majors in batting average and steals, as well as on-base percentage (.630)." Even better, during his recent five-game multi-hit streak, he hit .700 (14/20). When you're hot, you're hot. This is the fourth time Ichiro's been named AL Player of the Week. Robinson Cano is the only other Yankee to receive this honor in 2012 (June 25-July 1).
