As of this week, no batter in the division era has been hit by more pitches while batting against the Yankees than Kevin Youkilis. Carlton Fisk had held the post-1969 record with 15, but when Joba Chamberlain plunked Youk on Monday, that was the Yankees 16th time hitting Youkilis in a regular season game. Then David Robertson hit Youkilis yesterday padding the lead. Five of Youk's 17 plunks against the Yankees have been recorded this season, making him the first batter the Yankees have hit 5 times in a season since Reed Johnson in 2006. The only other 5 time yankee plunk victim since 1969 was Kevin Millar in 2004.

Mariano Rivera holds the Yankees record for hitting Youkilis, with three, and Andy Pettitte is next on the list with 2. Scott Erickson, Mike Mussina, Ivan Nova, David Phelps, Aaron Small, Joba Chamberlain, David Robertson, Hiroki Kuroda, Scott Proctor, AJ Burnett, CC Sabathia and Chien-Ming Wang have all hit him once for the Yankees.

While I only have the data to establish this record back to 1969, based on how infrequently batters got hit by pitches before then, there's a good chance that Youkilis is the all time leader in getting hit by the Yankees. EDIT: It's not the record - Minnie Minoso got hit 29 times by the Yankees. I'm not sure if that's definitely the record but it's more recordy than 17.
