Yankees Lose 4-3 to Blue Jays, Comeback Falls Short

You'll get 'em next time, CC.

Brandon Morrow was scratched in favor of Kyle Drabek, who pitched five very effective innings, striking out five Yankees in the process. CC Sabathia wasn't quite as sharp (6 IP, 3 ER), allowing single runs in the first, third and fourth innings, keeping his spring ERA at 4.50. He didn't walk anyone though, and K'ed five.

The relief corps, consisting of David Robertson, Cesar Cabral and Clay Rapada, tossed three scoreless innings. Rapada still hasn't allowed a run this spring and looks more and more likely to land a roster spot.

Mark Teixeira continues to look good at the plate. He went 1-3, drilling an opposite field double (as a lefty, mind you) off Drabek in the third.

Curtis Granderson went for an MRI (elbow soreness) after being removed from the lineup just prior to gametime.

Jorge Vazquez was reassigned to minor league camp, ending any chance he had at winning the DH job.

Hiroki Kuroda will start tomorrow against the Braves at 1 p.m.

FYI, the regular season kicks off Wednesday morning at 6 a.m. ET as the Mariners take on the A's in Tokyo, Japan.
