Posada is Gone and So are the Playoffs!

George Jr. made a king sized error that is going to cost the team its post season appearances this year. Posada had the time on the field from a career prospective. Jones had a season that was not spectacular. Comparing those players it is easy to see that Posada had a season on the same level as Jones. Posada had lost his starting position and could not get into the flow of the action through part time plate appearances. Yet, the post season Posada had was classic. He was the back bone of the club and that must get him more respect. Now the players have lost that strength of veteran playoff experience and output. The team is going to feel betrayed and George Jr. is going see how bad the team can play. Watch as Posada returns from retirement with another team in May. Posada is going to skip over the cold spring weather and hitting average, showing George that he earned a position on this year’s team with that spectacular playoff output last year. Most importantly; watch as George Jr. goes with cheap salaries and the lack of team bonding and sees the team going home early this year, no playoffs in NY. .AVG OBP SLG OPS Lifetime .273 .374 .474 .848 2011 Playoffs .429 .579 . 571 1.150
