The Yankees begin the second half north of the border with a four-game series against the Blue Jays. This will mark the first of several series the Yankees will play without Alex Rodriguez, who was officially placed on the 15-day DL on Thursday after undergoing surgery to repair a tear in his right knee.
Bartolo Colon is on the mound for the Yankees, making his third start of the season against the Jays. He pitched well in an April 20 start at Rogers Centre, allowing two runs over 6 2/3 innings, but was roughed up at home on May 23, giving up six runs over six innings in a loss.
