A.J. Burnett pitched the type of game Yankees fans hope, and know, he can pitch every time he's on the mound. Burnett threw eight innings, giving up only one earned run, while walking two, and striking out two.

Sadly, that was not enough, as Burnett received his first April loss as a Yankee.

Phil Humber played a game of "anything you can do i can do better" with Burnett, and won in the process. Humber no-hit the Yankees through six and a third innings, until Alex Rodriguez hit a single up the middle. That would be the only hit Humber gave up the entire night.

The Yankees managed two more hits off of relievers Chris Sale and Sergio Santos, but that was not enough. The White Sox scored on an RBI groundout from Adam Dunn and an RBI single from Paul Konerko.

The Yankees best scoring chance was with a runner on second and two outs for Derek Jeter. Down by one run, and with Eduardo Nunez on second, Jeter grounded out and ended the scoring opportunity.

The offense simply did not show up, and the team will have to show up tomorrow hoping to avoid their first two game losing streak of the season.
