New Year's Yankee Trivia Quiz

Stay connected for news and updates

Since absolutely nothing is happening in this offseason, and nothing is likely to happen, instead of whining about trades that didn't get made, free agents that didn't get signed, foreigners that didn't get posted, or who was to blame for something that happened last season, I decided that our time would be better frittered away with a trivia quiz.

Unlike previous quizzes, this one actually invloves knowing stuff that players did on the field, although not exclusively so. It is deliberately tilted towards pre- 21st century players, although most of the players involved are well- known. (Which Yankee shortstop committed 80 errors in 1908? is not a question).

You could look up most of the answers, but what's the point? A really high score means you're really old or you need to get a life. A really low score means you're really young or you don't know all that much Yankee lore. Questions after the jump. Answers next week.

Whose record was broken?

1. When Babe Ruth established the single season Yankees home run record in 1920, whose record did he break?
