A few words about this list. I went back to my original rule about no steroids. That is how I started and I was not the only person who felt that way. We were outnumbered but I went back to my gut feeling about this list. There were only 2 player that were even an issue one was A-Rod and the 2nd one was Andy Pettite. A-Rod would have made it based on his stats Andy would not have made the top 5 man rotation anyway. I
The Manager, Bench Coach, 3rd Base Coach, and 1st Base Coach I used managers who had the most World Series and Pennants as managers.
Pitching Coach, Hitting Instructor, and Bullpen Coach was the most World Series and Pennants at that particular coaching position
Also it was alot of give and take. Not all the players I thought should start or backup wound up being where I thought they would be. Yogi over Dickey, Nettles over Rolfe, Cano over Dugan, and never mind the starting 5 pitchers. I really believe this is the list.
This list has a Yankee player in all their eras. It is a true representative of their history and tradition.
