The present met the future today in Tampa, as Yankees legend Mariano Rivera watched with great interest while pitching phenom Manny Banuelos threw his early morning bullpen session:

After his session, Banuelos went over his throws with new pitching coach Larry Rothschild:

Before Rivera took his turn on the bump, he played a little joke on Billy Connors (far right). The closer picked up a nearby rosin bag, as he normally does prior to pitching, but instead of powdering his hand, he chucked it into Connors' stomach, as evidenced by the chalky white mark Connors walked around with the rest of the day:
