Amidst the euphoria of a home opener, the World Series ring ceremony, Bernie Williams tossing out the first pitch and World Series MVP Hideki Matsui making a return to the Bronx the ruins of the old Stadium are the only downer.

Sliding Into Home has a terrific photo gallery showing what little is left of the old place. All I can say is I wish they had taken the Stadium down faster so that no one would have to look at the Cathedral like this when they visit the new house.
