The only cure is more fist pump.

Put the ginger ale back in the cooler.

CC Sabathia didn't have his A game today, but he brought his big boy shoes, and though he never had a 1-2-3 inning, he worked out of his jams.

Kerry Wood pitched a scoreless 7th inning, including a pick off of Elvis Andrus with Josh Hamilton at the plate.

CJ Wilson was not as sharp as last time, needing 93 pitches to get through 5 inning with 6 runs (5 earned).  The Yankees were hitting rockets all night, and at last, they fell for hits.

The Rangers outhit the Yankees 12 to 9, but the Rangers did not draw a single walk; the Yankees drew six. Jeter, Swisher, Arod, Granderson and Posada all reached base multiple times.

Play of the Game: The Grandyman's 2 RBI single in the 2nd inning increased the Yankees' odds of winning by 13.8%.  It also settled most of the butterflies in my stomach.

Comments of the Game: Gman83201 stated the obvious. indy42 vents PinstripeAlley's collective rage against TBS' 4 commercials.  HighFlyer gives credit where credit is due. greatscott723 gives the Arod battle cry. pastor2b brings a new centaur pic (at least I've never seen it before).
